  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS my home computer died I don't even know if all the stuff on it (stories, pictures, music etc) is salvagable. And I sure don't want to spend hundreds on a new computer right now, when I'm trying to save for a house! It feels like, every time I try to start moving forward financially, something else kicks me in the face.

So I probably won't be keeping up with the forums as much until I either get this thing fixed or get a new one

IAJWTS that I do not <3 the nasty weather outside. A two day winter storm (that had major lightning last night, too) when it's supposed to be Spring is not amusing. Especially since Spring is my favorite season. I think it's going to be another one of those years where we don't get Spring at all and it goes straight from Winter to Summer.

IJWTS I'm gonna try to burn a recovery disk from my mom's PC, and use it in mine... everyone cross your fingers, say a prayer, light a candle, place two hairs of a muskrat over a popsicle stick...! If it doesn't work, I won't see you all here again until I'm back at work tomorrow
