  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So it's strange but rock collecting can be rather interesting and you can make money off of it if you know what you are doing.

Hey Sta Mat; how's it been going?; haven't talked to you since we figured out these counting threads to a science!
I remember years ago they used to say that playing chess helped your thinking abilities; but I suppose it's like other things; you gain in one area; like muscle; and loose in another; like fat.

I like that! That must be what they call in the car photo sites "forced perspective" where the camera or sometimes artist; is positioned so that things in the background or foreground are larger then they really are; or from using long telephoto lenses; which I think is the case in this picture. He's tail is bigger then the rest of him! Thanks; that's coool

I like to remember; the wonder of my three kids; when we back to my home state of Minnesota, in the 90s; and we saw a field of 'Fireflies' and they captured them in a jar; just like we did when we were kids:

....

They flash at night to attract mates and scare off preditors; as they taste bad...ask me how I know!

How did you guess! But not willingly or on purpose; running around the field trying to catch the bio-luminescent blinking bugs; one flew into my mouth; tastes like the worst ear wax mixed with dandelion flower stem juice; you could imagine!
