I was speaking to SAAN, not you, but feel free to learn about Galatians.
I think many on here are scared that their faith will be challenged and what they think is right and been taught might be wrong if they read something in context.
If you are truly strong in your faith, hearing side B of an argument never hurts. It can make your faith stronger and possibly clear up any misunderstandings as well.
I've prayed for wisdom and understanding 19 years, how about you, I've studied the bible 33 years, and God has nothing good to say about pastors, you don't obey the law no one ever has except Christ.I hate to just ask someone to watch something, but he explains is so much better than I could and it beats going back over arguments that have already been made. I think every Christian would benefit from listening to those audio lessons on Galatians and Romans, even if they don't agree with everything that is said.

Jeremiah chapter 22 verse 16
He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me?" declares the LORD.
1 John chapter 1 verse 8You do realize when you dont worship other gods, commit idolatry, take Gods name in vein, respect your parents, dont kill, steal, lie, commit adultery or covet, that you are actually keeping the Torah.
Jesus taught from the Torah and all the laws from the NT are all pulled from the OT, so Jesus didnt bring a new doctrine. All Jesus did was explain them correctly to the Jew who added all sorts of other man made laws to protect the actual law.
You can be genuinely wrong for 19 yrs too.

Jeremiah chapter 22 verse 16

John chapter 8 verse 31,32What do you say to people who have studied the Bible and prayed for wisdom for almost as long or longer than you have, but come to an different understanding of the Bible than you? We're not perfect, we've all been wrong about many things in the past, will likely be wrong about many things in the future, and therefore we are likely wrong about many things in the present, we just don't know which things they are. But don't you want to find out which things those are? The only way to find out is to listen to someone who holds a different opinion than you and try to evaluate them as objectively as you can to determine whether anything that they said has any merit.
The Bible does not speak against teachers in general and in fact, Jesus as all of the apostles were teachers. When Jesus gave the Great Commission, he told his disciples to go make their own disciples, teaching them everything that he had taught them. Teaching how to live rightly is an essential part Christianity, so while the Bible does speak against false teachers, you should not confuse that as being against teachers in general. Even now, you are trying to teach me about how you think the Bible should be correctly understood and I'm trying to do the same to you. It wouldn't hurt you to listen to it, it might surprise you.
1 John chapter 1 verse 8
If anyone claims to be without sin they deceive themselves and the truth is not in them.
James chapter 2 verse 10
If anyone keeps the whole law yet stumbles at just one point there guilty of breaking all of it.
Matthew 11
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
2nd John
6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
1 Peter chapter 4 verse 8
8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
1 John chapter 4 verse 8, 16
Says God is love.
I'll go with love rather than bear a heavy burden that no one but Christ has ever been able to carry.
Galatians chapter 3 verse 24,25,23No one said they are without sin, we are all sinners that need the blood of Jesus to cover our sins.
James 2 is speaking of not showing favoritism and is pointing out one sin not greater than the other.
Matthew 11 is correct, Christ is the way.
And for anything else in regards to Love, the commandments are summed up as Love, so you cant do away with something the bible says is summed up as Love.
When we treat somebody like we want to be treated we do the law of Christ. This is the biggest commandment.I think whats still applicable, many do obey it whether they know it or not. Might not be perfect at it, but we still are keeping a majority of the Torah.
This might be more what you want. When we treat somebody like we want to be treated we do the law of Christ. This is the biggest commandment.
When we treat somebody like we want to be treated we do the law of Christ. This is the biggest commandment.
What do you mean? I was referring slightly to the second commandment of Christ with my earlier remark. This might be more what you want.
This is the second commandment in other words.Matthew chapter 25
then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and got visit you? The King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.
I agree with you completely, but we won't know until Jesus comes back or we die.For the record, I know many people who obsessively read the Bible cover to cover and still hold all kinds of ridiculous ideas. Most of the time, it isn't about them wanting to stick to Biblical teaching -- it's about them believing they have special, superior knowledge of God, so far advanced that other mere mortals can teach them nothing. It is usually a waste of time to reason with them no matter how many verses you mention about the corporate church.
Psalm 19:7(NKJV)
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;
Galatians 3:10 (NKJV)
10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”
Psalm 119 verse 99
I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes.
You don't obey the law, no one does.
1 Timothy chapter 1 verse 7,8
They want to be teachers of the law but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm. We know the law is good if one uses it properly.
YOU DON'T OBEY THE LAW YOUR A SINNER THE SAME AS EVERYONE ELSE, SO WHY DO YOU PREACH SOMETHING YOU DON'T OBEY, YOUR PROBABLY CONDEMING YOURSELF. CHRIST SET US FREE FROM THE LAW.some do not submit to the law of God - neither indeed can they. This is the case for all the lost as Paul reminds us in Romans 8:4-9. But Paul says "you are not" in that group if you are born again, freed from slavery to sin etc.
