• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Confess to Jesus your sins and accept him as your lord and savior and you will be back on the right track. Don't base your salvation on your feelings, but you base your salvation off of the word of God. He said if you confess and believe in him then you WILL be saved.

What then though. I've confessed my sins many times but keep falling back into them. I should expect true salvation or repentance to be accompanied by works but I never change even though I try to.

Just keep confessing and repenting when you fall. A righteous man falls, but he gets back up. Jesus is always there to forgive you.

It just seems to me, Aspie, you are speaking of an intellectual belief in God with all that you say, and trying to follow the ways of Jesus, but that is not salvation, friend. Let me suggest you read John 14 in the Bible ---recommending the KJV (and then all of the Gospel by John) as a foundation; and very prayerfully ask God to teach you what He is saying there. Salvation, dear one, is in a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus with devotion and thankfulness to Him. Make Him your best Friend and lord of your life.

Write me personally if you would like to speak further on this. Look up!

I believe: "Yes you are saved. God is with you".

As for the sin of touching yourself just think of this for a minute. The bible commands that wives not deny their husbands sex, due to the fact they may sin sexually. This shows me that a person denied sex is easily tempted to sin. The unmarried person, how are they to cope, are they not under the same pressure. I fully believe that although there is a small element that could be classed as sin to touching yourself, if you are genuinely trying to not look lustfully at women in real life and searching of a marriage partner, God would understand you releasing your bodily urges. However that said if you can beat it great, if you can't don't beat yourself up over it. But keep away from porn, or things that increase bodily urges. Try to control your lusts.

As for racism, and lack of love, we all can suffer from biases. I used to work with indigenous people, and loved doing it, but at times I still felt a bit racist when people would complain about their races lot in life. Again just try to love people regardless of race.

Hmmm ... I don't know whether I have feelings of love for God .... I am grateful ... but you are still saved whether you feel love for the LORD or not. The word of God is your salvation not who you are, or are not.

God is with you. He will bless you as you follow his paths.
