Get alone. If you draw nigh to Him, He will draw nigh to you.
James 4:8 KJV
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners, and purify your hearts, ye double-minded.
Depend on HIS faithfulness, not your own.
He said He would do it, so know that He does. Add that to your profession, and hold fast to the profession of your faith. This does not really affect God because He is faithful to His word, not to you. He said He would draw nigh to you... so He does. Your confession changes you, not Him. The important thing is to not refute or contradict Him. Don't ever say He does not draw nigh to you. That would be a contradiction to His word and cause you to lose that singularity (or purity) of mind and cause double-mindedness.
James 1:6-8 KJV
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Just hang on to the confession of your faith = which is the content of His word. Forget about what you feel for the moment. Believe you have it. Believe you have received it. You have knocked, He said He opened the door. Do not say He did not open the door. You asked, and He said He answered, but do not say He did not answer. You did the seeking, and He said you found. Do not say you did not find. All these would contradict His word. Believe before you have seen or felt. That is faith. The logical response would be to thank and praise Him for doing it... regardless of what you feel. "Thank you, Lord, for your presence. I have drawn nigh to you, and you have drawn nigh to me (just as you said). I have called, and you have responded. I have asked, and you have given. I have received your Spirit by faith. I have Him now." Do this continually. Never refute what He said. You are conditioning yourself, not Him. He does not need you to believe something before He will be true to His word. It is true regardless of what you believe. You are having the eyes of your understanding opened. You are entering into the Spirit. You are entering into His gates. I recall feeling out of the presence of the Lord for some time. I settled into praying in tongues, praising him, and offering thanksgiving. I did this for about 4 hours. Then I "felt" it. I recall I was listening to the music of 2nd Chapter of Acts, Mansion Builder. This was about 1980 or so.
