So, many of you were interested in hearing how the story ended. I'm refering to my other thread where I explained my situation about ChristianMingle.com, etc.

So, yeah, me and my buddy drove up to meet with her and a friend, and she was everything that I had percieved her to be. My perception was right on. It's crazy how God worked it out. We had a little code on whether or not we liked the evening, whatever. I asked her to coffee at starbucks, and she accepted (This was the code that the evening went well). I asked if I could call her again, and she accepted, so it's all good!

A word of advice for those of you who are looking to meet someone in person that you met online: Don't expect anything. If you must expect something, be prepared for the worst to happen. I knew that there was the reality that we wouldn't hit it off, etc, but I let it all rest in God's hands, and everything was fine. I still can't believe I did it! Wow! God's Glory!

God is defninitely at the center of the relationship. He has been from the beginning. Online dating is something that I would normally never ever do. However, God tends to have a sense of humor at times, and blesses you in ways that you might not normally consider. I'm blessed by the friendship that I have with the girl, and if God wants to bless us farther down the line, it's his deal...we are not in control. He is.

He is the beginning, middle, and end as well as he works in his way and will. Online dating sounds tempting but also what happens if that person turns out not the way we want them to be?

Yeah something like that but what if that person who says like he's an ivy league grad on the internet is only fooling himself more than he's fooling you and/or others.

Well, I don't care what kind of relationship it is...if the other person is lying to you, and you have reason to believe that, run! Get out! Don't go any farther. Any relationship must be based on truth, and Christ.

Online dating is crazy. You've gotta be careful. Luckily, with my situation, I've known people around this girl that she didn't know knew me, and I got their opinion, which was right in line with what she told me. Her philosopy is: Why be someone that you're not? Be careful is the bottom line, and pray pray pray.
