• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. I know that We have like TONS of posts on cutting... but i need to post one of my own. Just so the other people that struggle with it knwo that they're not alone.

I have struggled with SI for almost 2 years. and I have made it 1 month and 5 days without it so far. I'm really trying to let go of this burden that i have been carrying for 2 years of my life.

I also struggle with Suicidal thoughts. a couple weeks ago i attempted suicide twice in one week. It's been hard.

I'm making it through. And you can too. Dont give up. I love you, God loves you. You can make it through.

He wants everyone's burdens. You just have to lay it down.

Glad to hear how well you are doing, Extreme. I have rid myself of my burden. I imagine a baseball bat every time it comes back to haunt me, and I hit it away. i think of it as the armour of God helping me to rid myself of things that hold me back. I know that God will use what I have been going through to help me to help others. I just need time to heal me. You're doing great girl.

How's it going? I'm glad you're not giving up. Just remember that God's with you, and so are all your friends (and aquaintences, as the case may be)! Truth be told..I've kinda' got some problems with that sort of thing, too...I haven't hurt myself for, oh, about a week, but part of that's because now my mom knows about it and I don't want her to freek out if I hurt myself again...So I can empathize with you, ok Extreme?

hey everyone. as many ppl already know i strugle with si also and im just saying to everyone else...never give up! even when it seems like u will never make it..u will. i know i need to lsten to my own advice but still...i know i need someone to tell me that when im at my worst, so im trying to help others if this isnt 2 confusing. *hugs*

Are you seeing a counselor??? It has really been good to talk to mine and get that stuff off my chest...try to get a Christian counselor...that will be even better. Also...get your hands on the book by Brennan Manning called "Abba's Child." It is about the love of Christ and is just awesome. Keep striving man...
