Porn/touching yourself, has ruled my life for nearly 20 years.

God showed me how to live in the spirit, and through the spirit I easily killed that giant in my life!!!

My flesh has been running things for the past 29 years, well....
NO MORE!!!!

I rule my own life now, through the wisdom of God, through the spirit, by grace, through faith!!!!! (tears of joy)

Praise God! If you'd be willing to share the testimony of your victory... I'm sure it would benifit many (including myself). I was freed from my porn addiction as a result of posting in a thread in the Women Who Struggle section. I got alot of prayer and support. I still struggle in the masturbation... but I've made a commitment to Christ to pursue purity. Hearing you say you're free gives me great hope. Again... Praise God and may you continue to be blessed.

It was a combination of church, worship,bible, tongues,desire, and a rubberband.

I pray all day long off and on, in tongues. Whenever I feel bad, angry, horny, bored, and even happy, I pray and worship in tongues.
This has helped me stay in a God conscious state, and that keeps my mind off of problems, lust, etc.
And that in return helps keep me stable. Sometimes I get real high praying in the spirit, crying tears of Joy.
But most of the time, I just feel decent when doing it. Nothing major, but the great thing is, I don't feel bad, or horny. My thoughts are God conscious instead of self conscious.

So as soon as I get a thought, an urge, or if I see a pretty girl and my desire is to look at her. I snap the rubberband that is on my wrist several times, while saying a quick prayer in tongues.
And looking away from the visual that may be causing it.

There is so much more to say. But let me rest on that, and think more on the matter.
None of what I said is a "cure", its really a battle, and you have to want it. But if you do it God's way victory is there for you.

I cut regular tv out, but thats been gone for about 5 years now.
I only watch movies, and not even the B ones, just the A ones.
I probably average about 2-3 hours a week.

At first it was difficult, but I got myself into some hobbys. Mostly games, videogames, chess, things like that. And I try to goto every church event, bible studys, gatherings etc.
Its not easy because I work around alot of those events. But I did what God said, and made my own bible study with friends and coworkers.

I don't think TV is evil, I just think people are just putting to much time into it.
Some people have put more time into watching tv, than they have put into there entire family, friends, and God combined.

Jude 20+21 says
"Build yourself up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
Keeping yourselves in the love of God."

To many people are waiting for God to do something in them,when God is waiting on you to do something for yourself.
He has provided everything to us that pertians to Godliness, it is up to us to stir it up.
God isn't going to give you a pill to make you feel joy, that is what the devil does.

You raise kids to be strong, and to be able to take care of themselves.
God is the same way, He is or wants to train you to be a stand up Christian, a King.
He isn't going to make you pray,
He isn't going to make you goto church,
He isn't going to make you stop sinning,
He wants to teach you how to do it in the spirit,
He wants to inspire you with hope that helps you do it

But He isn't going to do it for you. He has done His part, its up to us to do ours.
This isn't a heaven or hell issue, I don't believe, but its your life, you can watch it pass you by, or you can believe what God said, and just do it.

Praise God for He is wonderful, and loves us so much.

He has given me hope, by showing me what a man of God I'm going to be.
He actually talks to me, in the form of me as a mature Christian, in my heart and mind.
This enables me to keep my eye on God, and at the same time, my eye on who I'm going to be in Christ, as I keep saying Yes Lord to the things He wants.

This is the good news of Jesus Christ.
This is what every man women and child has been looking for their whole lives.
This is why men like Peter, Paul, and others were glad to lay there lives down.
This is joy unspeakable joy!!!

Amen thats great!Im very happy for you,Just remmember if you get attacked by that again that the bible says resist the devil and he will flee from you.Congrats i love to here testimonies of the good things the lord has done.
