Okay, let me ask in turn what do you think about Sweden-Norway personal union breakup in 1905? I think about the same of Britain leaving EU as I think about it. Unions, kingdoms and alliances have been formed and abandoned throughout the history. Nothing new under the sun.

oh my goodness, what I think obviously doesnt matter now does it. I am not here to argue as people seem to thrive on in these forums. As I also said if you want to opt to think the end is not coming in your life time well thats fine, what you do is your business as for me, I chose to never take prophecy lightly. Now if the end does not come in my lifetime well then I will not have to watch the prophecies unfold on earth any more will I.

I was raised in a premillennial dispensationalism world view/belief system. It was awful. I consider it to have been a form of spiritual abuse. It was all fear and anxiety and doom and gloom interspersed with Evangelical apocalyptic persecution literature (and even movies). In order to move forward in my life I had to leave it behind (pun very much intended).

My faith is one of hope and personal growth in Christ. It isn't about fear.

Never ... I have never though (in the past) that it was true. Only now do I believe it is true. I always thought we were not in the end times, and felt such prechers were nuts.

You may not believe in prophecy but God spoke through me twice recently that he is coming back, and we as people need to be ready. Years ago he sent me dreams of his return, now those dreams are lining up with that of others. Many of them.

I believe that you believe this, however, I don't believe that your dreams are prophetic in any way.

I used to focus on that stuff all the time. One thing I found out is that prophecy is only truly understood AFTER it happens and normally looks completely different than what they thought.
Prophecy is not meant to tell us what is going to happen per se but to prove after the fact that He actually spoke it first.

Good, now I can disregard you once Obama has left office!

I do so love it when I see a deadline.

EDIT: I will mention I have made one prophecy back when I was Christian. The Church I attended was infected by false prophets. They spoke much but never gave a time frame. Then one finally did. He said something would come to pass before the end of the year. I prophesied that I would be calling people on it on the next New Years day.

Final result is that many left that Church because the leadership refused to face the failure of the prophets they had embraced.

Perhaps you're saying this because he's an atheist. However, I, as a Christian, don't believe in what this thread is promoting either. Anyone that posts on a message board is opening himself/herself up to disagreement- and everyone that has posted in this thread so far has the right to post here. The poster you quoted wasn't engaging in insults nor was he insulting Christianity.

Why on earth would I say that to him because he is atheist ? And did I say anything about I thought he was insulting Christianity. Why do people always jump to the negative and stick their claws out ready to pounce on anything they THINK someone else is implying This forum isnt for Christians only. I was simply asking a legit question. Geez chill out.

Well, I find it very interesting in not so much what people believe or don't believe, but how they go about justifying their beliefs.

So, posts like the OP, are interesting to me.
