I would have pulled for Joe Biden had he ran, who also happens to be Roman Catholic. He is the only one in there who is a father like figure. I do not trust all the others.

Now, that's interesting. You did say "father like figure." That's a matter of appearances, yet several at least of the other candidates are known to be good and proud parents and doting fathers. Maybe what you're thinking of is someone who's actually "grandfatherly."

I sure can. Not voting helps Clinton or Sanders, and I refuse to do that.

Choosing between two evils is not an option, despite what they would have us believe.

I had a theory. What if politicians are actually like false teachers?. Paul said that the day would come when people would depart from the truth and be lead astray by false teachers. That sounds a lot like politics to me.

Forgive me...

To be honest, I'm not quite sure what I'm going to be doing when it comes to voting for "the big one" when it comes that time. I'm facing a dilemma that many others who are registered to vote are facing (including the OP). I actually struggle to understand politics, as a whole, and what I do understand of it, my views in general are so spread out across the spectrum that I don't relate totally to any one party. The platforms of the two main parties of the U.S. (Democrat and Republican) both carry ideas I agree with and at the same time have agendas I don't buy; even the ones with the best of intentions mess up sometimes. Politicians are flawed as all of us are (being human, and all), and I don't know of any one of them (regardless of party) that deliver 100% on what they propose. But I know some are better than others. I will examine for a moment the current administration (Barack Obama). Now I'm not one to mess around with talking about politics (and I haven't for a long time) seeing that it's so controversial, but I think now is the opportunity to express my thoughts. I'm also well aware that many will disagree (in part or fully) with what I'll be bringing forth. However, I do not wish to debate with anyone here, so if you disagree, please do so respectfully. Regarding President Obama, while I don't believe he is the monster or villain that many have been making him out to be (comparing him with Hitler and all that), I just don't think he's done a spectacular job as POTUS, with a couple of exceptions. However, the U.S. was in a jam before he even took office, so the administration shortly before him (President G.W. Bush) left a lot to be desired. It's just so confusing a lot of the time, but I will observe and see where my conscience eventually leads me when it comes to a final choice, vote using my best judgment, then pray I did the right thing.

I am actually a nonpartisan (as you might be able to tell), so I do not vote by party line, but rather what they bring forth as proposals when it comes to helping the country. I keep in mind that each candidate is fallible and will make mistakes and wrong judgments (and a lot of them!) as the humans that they are, but will consider their basic ideas on a variety of issues, juggle them around, and see what direction it points. I've been hearing a lot of good about Ted Cruz, so I might check him out further, and see what happens. I'm also not opposed to the idea of checking into a decent third party choice. To be honest, I don't know why they're not even given a chance (in America, anyway). I might be in the minority on this, but I'm a bit weary of the "two-party" system. Usually, it's the same old stuff all the time, and I personally believe America could stand to try something new and different. But, that's just me.

In conclusion, believers (myself included) should remain in prayer for all leaders and people in authority, as it says in 1 Timothy 2:1-4, then trust that the Lord will have His way and take care of His people, no matter what happens.

My veterinarian claims on his sign he will be voting for Snoopy with Woodstock as VP! Lol! I do not think a lot of us are too happy with the choices so far.
