Did I miss something, because I don't remember him saying anything about external pressure?

If some sides of the church didnt attatch a social stigma to homosexuality in the first place, people wouldnt feel the need to try and change something that dosent need to be. Unfortunately being born homosexual automatically means you have external pressure on you, particularly if you are a person of faith.

Well we know that that is only true if the Holy Spirit isn't the one telling the person that what they are doing is wrong, which was the impression that I got from his testimony.

Actually, it can. Homosexuality has been proven to be unchangeable. My aim was at anti-gay testimonies, not testimonies in general. Mine at least was a realistic one.

Nope hasn't been proven, and who are you to say what is realistic or not to anyone who doesn't agree with your beliefs?

With that flawed logic, you would've trusted testimonies that have since been retracted and from many individuals that regretted making them in the first place. THAT is one main reason why I don't trust anti-gay testimonies.

As I don't trust pro-gay testimonies because it goes against the testimonies of those who feel that the Lord is telling them it is a sin. So if it is a sin and someone falls back into it, then it is just like anyother sin, and they are just like anyother person who falls short. The good news is we all can go to the Lord and He will forgive us and work through us, but we have to let Him.

I wasn't talking about testimonies in general, but testimonies that one has changed their sexual orientation.

How can we trust that anyone has truely changed no matter what they have done wrong, if the fact is that homosexuality is a sin then just like all other sins a person can change and fall.

A shame? that is the focus of this forum!

Yes that is a shame when we can't see past the sexual to see anything else, a real shame.

Then I could easily argue that anyone who has heterosexual sex doesn't put God first.

It isn't the act that I am referring to as being the thing that keeps someone from putting God first, but am not surprised that that is all you see.

Of course you see that. You didn't see that I was lead by the Holy Spirit w/my testimony, so you saw what you wanted to see. I have yet to see even one testimony that wasn't inspired by external pressure somewhere, somehow.

I have seen you feel led by the Holy Spirit to post against homosexuality and use yourself and your SSA as a tool to try and help those who didn't believe that it was a sin. Then I have seen you use your SSA as proof that it isn't a sin, which testimony do you want me to put my trust in? Should it be the one that agrees with how the Holy Spirit leds me and used to you or the other one? You don't need to answer that question because I already know the answer.
