  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Okay, I'm not sure if this is possible, so...

I have a layout that does not use frames. Instead, I use the DIV code, which creates a little box with a scrollbar.
Outside the box, on the side, I have my links.

I was wondering if there was any way for me to make pages popup inside the DIV box, instead over the whole page. I know how to do it with frames; I'm just not sure how to do it with DIV and CLASS -- if it's even possible.

There's my page. None of the links on the side work yet, because I haven't really started it yet. But could someone tell me if that is possible?

I don't know that you can do that with DIV tags- what you are wanting to do, is load two browser pages into one- which is the purpose of frames.. the DIV tags normally do just htat, they divide the webpage into sections, but still the same page.. I would definately look into I Frames.. I saw y our site, and the layout is great- and I Frames would suit it very well allowing you the same look with your template and give you the capability to load pages the way you want to. you can go to here to learn about Iframes: http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/96/37/index2a.html?tw=authoring but to get a simple cut and paste code that you can play with, go here: http://builder.com.com/5100-31-5077385.html

Just remember that there are a lot of netscape users who can't view frames, so you might want to include the browser detection code and offer an alternative.
