  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Today is my 1 year CF anniversary. Doesn't seem like it's been that long.

Even though we haven't met - I have visual pictures of most everyone in my head (because of that, if I actually met someone I'd probably think you weren't who you are).

Anyhow - I enjoy the conversation and debate, I've learned lots (especially here in SR). It's a wonderful way to spend time - I don't think its wasted because I'm with God's children and studying His doctrines.

My husband works a lot of evenings and my daughter is either at the university or at work so I spend evenings visiting here. Also, my work tends to be pretty intense at times - so lunchtime at CF relaxes me.

I go through busy-ness and don't get to post much for short periods, which is good because I get a little burned out over on GT.

Goodness, i've been here since 2k3 (i think...) and i don't have 1/10 the number of posts. Of course, haven't had a lot of time for that with the necessities of living a life.
