Dear Wise, God has but 7 Days. Each of God's Days are some 4.5 Billion years in length. Six of the Days are Creative Days and the details of these Days are told in Genesis Chapter One. The 7th Day is Eternity. It has no ending, no evening. Today is the 6th Creative Day and is the Day of Salvation. The present 6th Day will last at least another 1k years.

What is right with not knowing? Is it NECESSARY that we know HOW God measures time? What's wrong with not knowing?
What is right with not knowing?
Does this help?
Do you know what God is thinking right now? What is right with not knowing?
Did God tell you this?
I don't believe anyone can.
In Love,
Aman
Because at that point in time that God rested from all his work...everything was ..GOOD
That all changed when SIN entered into His creation.
Now you can believe...I can.
How would you know that?sin was in the world BEFORE Adam was "created in God's Image" or in Christ.
No.
1) You have no reason to assert that God measures time in some way unknown to us. But in any case, it is illogical to assert that even if God "measures time" in some other way, that that would prevent us from measuring that time period.
2) God has clearly provided ample evidence of the age of the earth throughout his creation. We see this in a wide variety of DIFFERENT KINDS of evidence which all yield the same age. The age of the earth is not all that difficult to determine---and the Christ-follower need not fear the answers which God has provided in his creation.
3) So apparently God wished us to know the age of the earth. God's Bible doesn't focus on such questions but the Creation which God "authored" does.
4) It doesn't matter what "time unit" is used for the measurement as long as people understand the definition behind a particular standard. The orbital period of the earth around the sun (another of God's creations) has become a standard unit of time measurement and there is no reason to avoid it. (That is, unless someone has some sort of objection to how God established such phenomena in his creation, why contest it?)
Your inference that God (and perhaps the angels) have some alternative unit of time which they prefer to use is a figment of your imagination. You have no Biblical basis for the claim.
That question leads me to wonder if you understand how the age of the earth can be determined. (If you did, you wouldn't make the assertions you've posted.) The username you've chosen appears to suggest that you have a high opinion of your own wisdom. But whatever the case, on this topic you are definitely giving the impression of being uninformed.
It is necessary to know IF you wish to understand the story of the Creation. Many people think that the 7 Days of Creation are 24 hour days, but that is UnScriptural, since we are still living on the 6th Creative day.

Genesis 2:2 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.
Dear Sky, Notice that the verse says that God rested from ALL of His work. Many people add to what is written and say that means that God rested from ALL of His work of the Creation, but that is NOT so, since God is still working today, according to Jesus.
Jhn 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto (Greek-up to the present time,) and I work.
The Holy Spirit is God and He certainly hasn't rested from ALL of His work. The Church continues to work with the Holy Spirit to bring sinners to Christ. God will NOT rest from ALL of His work until His work is finished or brought to perfection, and ALL of the host of heaven are in heaven. Genesis 2:1 Remember also that it takes the agreement of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to create a sinner in God's Image. John 14 (Blue Letter Bible: KJV - King James Version)

Sky:>>As you have shown, Jesus did not mention Creation, you added that.
But the first reference is at the end of the Creation week passage.
So it is naturally referring to Creation in it's context.
Jesus is not. Jesus is referring work of the Spirit in that context.
Dear Sky, Are you saying that the Holy Spirit is NOT God? Of course not. IF the Holy Spirit is working today, and He is, then God has NOT yet rested from ALL of His work.

Genesis chapter one tells the entire history of the 6 Creative Days. Genesis 2:1-3 is telling us the history of what will happen AFTER the present 6th Day is complete. This shows that ONLY God could have written Genesis, since He tells us the entire History of His Creation before the Creation is finished or brought to perfection.

Aman
