How do people who are "unconditionally loved" end up in hell?

I can only assume that you are talking about me, since in looking at other posts, you have rated someone who has been attacking me quite high. So, thank you for the value you added by challenging me to reconsider my position. Obviously you aren't in the discussion to reconsider yours and are now taking cheap shots. I have gotten that enough. I don't need it.

I am a parent. I am also a substitute parent for others teenage boys. I don't think this analogy works, though. I don't believe every man is a child of God.

Are you a parent? Would you ever give one of your children a consequence that wasn't designed to teach them to NOT DO the wrong again? Would you ever give one of your children a permanent consequence that they couldn't get out of--even if they came to you, apologized, and promised change? Would you ever do something to ensure one of your children would permanently reject you, so you could permanently punish him or her forever?

I don't think God would either. But, God will do all of these things to some men.

I think the analogy is great. We are talking about unconditional love.

And if my God tells me that He loves all mankind I believe Him.

You seem to be adding other things again.

I was not talking about people here. I was talking about the people I come across in "real life". And I reconsider my position all the time. I used to be pre-trib. I'm now "mid-trib / pre-wrath". I used to believe in ECT. I now believe in CI.

There are a lot of other peripheral things but yes, I actually change my position quite a bit - but the more I've studied a particular position, the more knowledge it is base on, and the less likely I am to change it.

God's perfect love and perfect justice meet at the Cross. If a person says "no" or otherwise "rejects" God's free gift of salvation through Christ Jesus, then God's perfect justice will be met out, on judgement day, at a time of His choosing.

The word hell is found in many Bible translations. In the same verses other translations read " the grave" , " the world of the dead" etc. Other Bibles simply transliterate the original language words that are sometimes rendered " hell"; that is, they express them with the letters of our alphabet but leave the words untranslated. The Hebrew words "Sheol" and the Greek word " Hades"- refer not to an individual burial place but to the common grave of mankind.
The Babylonians and not the Greeks originated the fictional idea of hell- " The netherworld as a place full of horrors presided over by Gods and demons of great strength and fierceness."(The Religion of Babylonia and Assyria,Boston 1898 Morris Jastrow Jr., p.581)

Early evidence of the fiery aspect of Christendom's hell( with hellfire)is found in the religion of ancient Egypt.( The Book of the Dead, 1960, Intro by EA Wallis Budge, p.144,149,151,153,161)

The Bible's use of hell is strictly referring to the common grave of mankind.(Genesis 3:19)
The idea of a netherworld where demons exist to punish and burn others is not scriptural.
