Jesus kept the law and therefor did not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, so where do you think his knowledge came from ?
They were the first Catholics. They were taught via word of mouth. They didnt have a million and one interpretations of scripture thrown at them. Sola Scriptura hadnt been invented then!

BTW the Jerusalem church was the first Christian church, and it was the preeminent church for 70 years after Jesus ascended to heaven, until the Romans destroyed it in 70 AD.
Yet Jesus said, study the scriptures...you do err, not knowing the scriptures... and quoted OT scripture frequently...and Paul taught in the synagogue daily,from the scriptures that Jesus is the Christ... and the Bereans who heard Paul preach are called nobel for searching the scriptures to see if it was so.
They had the OT scriptures
And when the NT was being written, it was written that all scripture is for doctrine, correction of wrong doctrine, and for instruction in righteousness.

Jesus didn't die in the year 0, he died around 30 AD. The Jerusalem Church could not have been the preeminent church for 70 years. Also, if I'm correct, Jesus didn't reject all of their oral teachings. Paradise and Hades, for example, are not mentioned in the Old Testament, only Sheol. Sheol encompasses both Paradise and Hades.
