How can you tell that a preacher is anointed?

And also Jesus says "As the Father sent me, even so I send you..." It doesn't sound like things changed. Christ expects us to do what he was doing--preaching the Gospel, driving out demons, setting people free in His name.

None of which tell us that we have the same annointing as Jesus.

You took v 27 out of context. If you had read the previous verses, you would have seen that this isn't the same annointing given to Christ, but is referring to the security of our salvation.

Knowing that there are many types and shadows in the OT -
In Exo 29:4-9, According to Yahweh's instructions, Aaron and his sons were washed, dressed, anointed with oil , and then they served. To me, it's significant that this was done TO them plus the order of the process. They submitted to this process before they were put into service. Then with Yahweh, there is always a purpose - Exo 30:30 "And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office."

With Christ Jesus and the 12 -
Matt 10:1 "And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease." Matt 10 continues with Christ Jesus, the Anointed One, giving the charge to them.

As priests (Rev 5:10) today, this is the same process we have to go through - washed, His robes of righteousness, His anointing, then we serve. The more we do He will, the more He uses us.

His unction as in I John 2:20 and His will as in Psalm 37:23, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way." Rom 8:14 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."

Acts 1: 8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me … and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Isaiah 10:27 "...and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing."

Just like there are different aspects of faith (such as a measure of faith (Rom 12:3), faith to be saved (Eph 2:8), gift of faith (I Cor 12: 9), faith to prophecy (Rom 12:6), etc.), there are different aspects of God's anointing. But the aspect of anointing we're referring to at this point is - I agree with Oscarr - on this one. Acts 2:20 "And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following."

Does anyone know of a chronological gospel? Because in one translation, the 12 are referred to as "students" in many verses and after verse above, Matt 10:1, they're referred to as "disciples").

It's the anointing of the Holy Spirit. What other anointings are there?

I believe Acts 2:20 shows Jesus literally meant what he said in John 20, "As the Father sent me, even so I send you...." He didn't change the formula or the way the church was to conduct itself in the world.
