Hello Everyone,
One of the ways depression lies to us is by telling us there's no hope, that things will never get better. That is absolutely not true, and I can testify from long experience that it's not true.
Over the years, one of the ways I've coped is by hanging onto promises in Scripture. There are many, and here is one of my favorites:
"Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:
He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun."
(Psalm 37:3-6)
Depression is a liar. There is always hope. Things do get better. Hang in there until you receive the desires of your heart and your vindication rises like the noonday sun.
Hugs, Judy
