For sure it is abused as the posibility is shown in Romans 6 and Galatans 5.Paul would be shaking his head at how far the 'grace gospel' has gone from his original intents.
Now that is interseting. Makes me very curious how both can be posible. To discredit His commands and instructions is to be lawless. We're not meant to be freed from obeying His commands, we're freed from slavery to transgression of law (sin).
Galatians 5:1 calls the law a yoke of bondage. If my mom said "Don't steal", is that law itself putting me into bondage? I know she loves me even when I did steal. But it doesn't make stealing less wrong. If I chose to disobey and went ahead and stole, then I did the wrong. It wasn't the command that was wrong.
Are we not the children of God?
Could happen soon. who knows it could die just as quickly.I wonder if this thread will hit 1,000 soon? I don't think I'll be here when it does, onto more edifying and diverse threads!
Now that is new to me. What sin does the law take away?I never claimed that the Law takes away sin, but it does show us what sin is and what He wants us to do.
It does no good for a parent to say "Hey, just be a good kid". That child needs to know what that means, what it looks like, and what boundaries are needed as a human being. For each family, this may look different. But it should NOT be differing drastically in the Family of God. We shouldn't be arguing over the dividing lines. For when we throw out the boundaries and guidelines God gave us, then we don't even know what sin is anymore and everything is a gray area.
Who does Deut 28 apply to? The Holy Spirit toldme a long time ago that wasn't my covenant. What about blessed are those who keeps HIs commandments? (Deut 28). Are we not engrafted as the people of God? I can't see God saying "Hey, you're blessed if you obey" and then turning around and say "You're cursed if you follow the same commandments I gave you".

Galatians 5:1 calls the law a yoke of bondage.
Acts 15:10 uses the word yoke in reference to bondage of the law.
I Tim 6:1 referst to yoke of masters which would be slave owners. Slavery is bondage last time I heard. Has it changed?
Sure...they are
but they were added to show no one is righteous. Just like Rom 3:20.
Psalm 143:2 Enter not into judgment with your servant,
for no one living is righteous before you.
Ok, now why does 1 Cor 15:56, say the power of sin is law?
where else was sin aroused, by the spritual law? In the new man, or the old?
7;5For while we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bear fruit for death.
at least you agree that they are righteousness.
i don't agree with this, based on deut 5:33 and 26:17, for starters. and they were'nt added! read gen 39, they were already there!
not sure what this has to do with the commandments being righteousness.
i've already answered you on this in another thread.
You disagree with the premise of Scripture?
It's not that hard; the law was never given to give life, but to include all under sin. That's our initial access to Christ, who became sin, for us. We just renew our minds to the fact we ARE in Him
and rise with him, walking in newness of Life
i can't answer this, because i disagree with your premise!
IOW sin doesn't bring death.i can't answer this, because i disagree with your premise!
nice try, you just don't want to talk about the law dynamic, because 7, and gal 5;16-18, are way to much, to prove my point, not to mention 6;14, and 1 cor 15;56.
