Duly noted. Maybe the word "ALWAYS" was a bit strong, then?

nah, its still the word i would use. i just think Origen and St. Augustine were not representative of the Church on this point, and St. Augustine only slightly off. from my own research and from my seminary classes i have learned that in Orthodox hermeneutics, allegory complements the literal rather than replacing it.

Evolution is not taught in the Bible. What is taught is the polar opposite. It amazes me how people can sleep at night knowing they hold to a faith, but believe in a theory which is not apart of that faith.

From the guy who says only caucasians are made in the image of God and the Bible is only for them
