This isn't the right forum for it, and I'm sure you'll find others better suited to it, but IMHO that is not the case in all instances. I don't believe that God would wish a woman to live in an abusive situation or with a man who has violated the marriage contract by cheating on her, for example--in that case her partner has already turned the marriage into a sham of what we're told that marriage is supposed to be.

Like many other things, intelligent and faithful Christians disagree on what we're held to. I hope that you'll explore all views on this and the reasoning behind them before you condemn yourself.

Ask a Chaplain - Christian Forums here the forum to the Chaplains. There really nice and would probably be the best place to ask questions like this.. As probably not many here know about that. Please know I will pray for you and your wife.
When talking to the Chaplains you are anonymous so no one can tell who you are as the topics that are talked in the forum are private.
