Hi! I'm new here and I'm restarting my journey with Jesus. This past Sunday I was visiting family and went with my mom, aunt, cousin, and 17 month old son to my aunt's church. To be perfectly blunt, I hated it! In the middle of the church were a cafe and a book store, both are open 12-13 hours a day, 7 days a week! I could clearly see in my mind Jesus fashioning His whip and knocking the money from the moneychanger's hands when He found them in His Father's temple (John 2:14-16)! The "worship" service rivaled a rock concert, their "hymn" of offering was Jingle Bells, and when I dropped my son off in the nursery I was given a slip of paper and told in all seriousness, "if you lose this you can't pick your son up"! I told my husband about this and we are praying about forming a home church, even though this was several states away, we feel it is inevitable that churches in our own area will some day follow their lead.
