  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am scared and frightened and I need all the prayers I can get... but not for me... a little under an hour ago I recieved this text message from my friend Sam...

(This is the message, word for word)

"Hey my friend nick, his life long friends were in a really bad wreck. Lauren whose 19 has a 50 50 chance and the boy is in a state of shock bc his sisters boyfriend died while he was trying to revive him! Please pray for them and nick hes freaking out. xxAmyxx"

I dont know who Amy is, but this came from my friend Sam's phone number. I am really scared for them and have been praying like mad. Please keep them in your prayers. Thank you!

Ok Nicole, Lets just immediatelly pray,

Lord, What exactly has happened here is worrying and obviously been done in a panic text, so we are unaware of proper in and outs of whats happened, all we have are names, an obvious accident, a death and everyone panicking, Lord you know exactly every detail of whats gone on and you'll be there with them all now. So what we have Got is Nick, his life long friends, Lauren who has a 50/50 chance of living, a boy in a state of shock because hes seen someone die infront of him who was his sisters boyfriend, we also have Amy, Sam whose recieved the text, and Nicole. Lord this has been tradgic accident, and everyone will be filled with confusion, Trauma, upset, bereavement, all I can ask you for Father is that you'll be with them all and through it all bring some sort of comfort. Help them Lord and all familys as they find out have strength from you to comfort and to be consoled themself in this grief. Amen

Lord i pray for this person lord. Lord i pray for lauren that you will heal her lord and take that 50 50 chance away and place it will a 100% chance of living lord. Lord i pray for the family who have had a breavement. Lord i pray that you will be with them. Lord you know the truth lord be there with them lord In your mighty name I pray amen
