  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Well, some of you may know the difficulties I have been going through and as if that wasn't enough now I find out my sister is very ill and the doctors do not know what the problem is. She has been to the emergency room several times and I fear that the worst outcome may happen for her.

I love my sister. I need her in my life. I pray God heals her or atleast lets us know that he is God and is in charge and what ever happens it is his will.

What scares and worries me the most is that my sister is not a believer, but, recently she is praying and is looking for a church. I know we all go and seek God in times of need but I really really want her to see God and all he is so that she may fully and unconditionally give herself to him and depend on him for everything and accept all he has planned for her be it more life or death. I just pray for her soul more than anything. It's my sister... I love her and want the best for her.

Please pray with me... Your prayers in the past has been very helpful and so I ask once again for another round, but, this time, for my sister...

Thank you.

I pray that regardless of the outcome, she be lead to a genuine loving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Praying for your comfort as well. We're soldiers in the same battle with this, because I'm concerned about my brother in the same manner, more or less.

Dear Grommit,
Precious one, know that Jesus hears you and all of these brothers and sisters who are saying a prayer for your sister as they read this thread. Have you seen my painting, "Prayer Warrior: The Dispatcher"? When we pray lining up our prayer with His Word and Will, there are angels listening and being dispatched to carry out God's directives on the matters.
God's directive on healing is: Jesus paid the price for our healing when they beat him and ripped his back to shreds with that cat-o-nine. By His stripes we were healed. (Please notice the tense used here in this statement from scripture, WERE HEALED. It's a done deal! I have seen the problem and it is not that Jesus doesn't want to heal, isn't ready to heal......The problem is US.
I can give you a million dollars in a pretty box, but if you never open it, you will never get the benefit OUT of my gift!! That is what we do sometimes with Jesus' gift of healing. We are the ones who don't accept it. I've seen people get healed and then turn around and talk themselves right out of it within hours!!!

I heard a wonderful man of God, say once that he suffered terribly with an ailment. For seven weeks he got up every morning and thanked Jesus for healing him, even though he still was in pain, still saw no real difference.....at the end of the seven weeks, he saw his healing!!! But he had to fight for it! The enemy kept trying to take it away from him, lie to him and tell him he didn't receive the healing from God. I bet he remembered Jacob and decided he was going to be like Jacob!!! He was going to hang on and believe for his healing!
Be like Jacob Grommit, hang onto Jesus until you get your blessing!!! Just refuse to let go!!! We are praying with you and for you and your sister!

Thanks everyone for the support. It's been pretty scary. I'm feeling kinda exhausted by all of this so I know she must be feeling even worse. It drives me crazy when I see someone I love hurt and it really get's me going when there is nothing I can do for them... so for now I keep praying.

She is going to see a specialist next tuesday. They will give her a test to see if it's serious or not. They say it may be MS and a very very severe viral infection. :`(

Please continue to pray... I don't know what else to do.
Thank you.

Well.. I have no choice but to leave it to God. If I had a choice she'd be saved and healed and enjoy life to the fullest. I can only let him do what he wants to do.

I just wish it didn't happen at this point in my life because I feel so far from God and prayer to him is very difficult.

I'm hanging in there and my sister is hanging in there as well.. it is all we have at this point. It's just a waiting game to see what God does. I just hope she finds Christ through all of this, even if that means she has to die.

I hate life. I feel so sorry for everyone who has to post in here with similar problems.

Nice chatting with you last night bro.

I will indeed pray for your sister, yourself and your family as your sister goes through this illness. I have a younger sister that means the world to me. Hang in there and just continue to pray for and encourage her.

As for any personal issues you may have, tell God. Let him deal with them. I know in theory that is easy to say. I have, in the past, felt alone and distant from God, but have begun to realize that it was always by my choice and that He is always there whenever I got my head back in order. He will always welcome you back. I find it hard sometimes to really turn my life over and be the person He wants me to be, but I also know that if I just let Him in, things will always fall into place.

I'll be praying for you guys.

God, please touch Grommit's sister's heart, help her
seek You with all her heart and show her what You're like
and help her believe. Please heal her completely if that is Your
perfect will and help Grommit trust You and please fill him
with Your love, show him what to do, please give him the
right words for his sis. Please so comfort and restore him,
draw him close to You, help him with everything.
In Jesus' mighty name. Amen
