I just recieved the music for my orchestra audition. We're putting on Les Mis this year, so for the audition it's all Les Mis music. I think I got the ONLY song I'm not farmiliar with! Plus half of the title is cut off, and I can't find a similar title on the internet. I'M HOPING SOMEONE HERE WILL KNOW THE NAME OF IT please.

It's numbered number 27 it that helps. And it's called "The _______ Song" the second word is 4 letters long and looks like C or G, a, t or r or l etc., then e.

If you have ANY idea what it is that would be awesome. Either it's just really obvious and I'm overlooking it, or there's an alternate title... or it's really not a popular one from the piece. Thanks for your help!

Is this in the orchestral score? Do you have any idea what comes before or after it?

It could be "The Cart Song." I've never heard it called that, but it makes the most sense of anything I can think of. It's an orchestral piece that occurs right before Valjean's trial. In my libretto it's called "the Runaway Cart."

Oh could be, I'm not sure what's before or after beacuse we were only given 3 peices and the others are numbers 9 and 2.

The tempo starts at a quarter note= 98. Then switches to 112-120.
...and theres a flute run 29 bars in. Lol so if you have a recording on the cart thing, maybe you would notice a flute trill? Theres a rit on the run as well.

The clarinet comes in 27 bars after the trill. And it's in 4/4. Lol that's about all I know.

Lol I'll check in in a bit...

Oh wait, but it can't be cart beacuse it ends in E... would cafe make sense?I just don't really remember a cafe scene... it would have to be about the end of the play or maybe 3/4 in... I'm not sure.
Gosh, I don't know. There are probably some orchestral parts that aren't given names on the CD librettos. Hmmm...

In the second have it has the melody of "Who am I." That may help... It might just be one of those weird medley things. But I dunno because it has an actual title rather than the "prologue" or whatot

But.... "One Day More" had a title and that was a medley too. I'm more confused now than I ever was!
