Not sure if it's even appropriate to put a prayer request in this section or not, but I sure could use a prayer today.

Having been diagnosed with clinical depression nearly 5 years ago, it's been a constant struggle. On and off again medications don't seem to help. Don't really see a reason to go that route, when I think prayer helps more than anything.

Today's been really awful. Nothing triggered it, as far as I can tell, but it's just been awful. The lonely, gut-wrenching pains; not wanting to BE; curling up and longing to be alone--all the while wanting so desperately NOT to be alone.

Just a bad, awful day.

I understand how you are feeling. I will pray for u! i hope things improve soon and u see the light at the end of the tunnel soon also, because there is one, u just have to find it!

I'm sorry your going through such a hard time. I hope that you are seeking out a therapist or someone who can help you overcome this or at least get through it. I tried the last three weeks to go without my anitdepressant medication and I'm going back on it.
I'll be praying for you.

Hi,
I know what you mean about meds. I've had my meds. changed so many times it makes my head spin, and it still doesn't make a difference. It gets to be frustrating wondering if they'll ever find the right medicine. All i can say is what i say to myself. Try and think that maybe right around the corner may be the answer. Try and do at least one thing during the day to break things up a little bit. It's not easy when you think you have nothing to look forward to, but those thoughts are thought thru the clouds of depression, and i know when i feel like that all i can think are negative thoughts. We have a common ground when it comes to meds. not working.

Hi,
I've been depressed for about six years. Somedays i think things are going fine, then down i go along with anxiety. I kinda know what it's like to need someone to talk to. That's why i say if you ever need to talk, just PM me and i will do likewise. Sometimes just expressing what's on your mind to someone who'll listen and be there for you means a great deal. I don't understand everything about depression or anxiety, but i sure understand it's effects. So, I'd be glad to talk or listen anytime you want. If I'm not here, just e-mail me.

Hi Witness,
You mentioned about prayer being better than meds. I agree to an extent. Everything is of God even the medicines. If you think they might help, give it a try. It might just be an answer to your prayer. When you're feeling really down if it helps to talk, give me a shout.
