  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Welcome to the forum! I'm still bouncing around and getting familiar with the forum myself. FaithfulWife has given me some real good insight as to getting familiarized in this fourm. I am learning leaps and bounds and plan to get really involved as I get better acquainted here.

I just noticed you and I use the same signature...Isaiah 40:31

It is my most favorite verse of all time. I am happy you love that verse too.

I use it in conjunction with aviation because I'm an aviation nut...I love aircraft...I fly and work on aircraft for a living and enjoy everything about them. I blended my love for Christ, my love for Isiaiah's writings with my love for my work.

Well, just thought I'd share a little about me and how I think it was cool you and I love the same Bible verse...

That is indeed awesome!!! The verse from Isaiah is a reminder for me that I can do anything through Christ. I also love Proverbs 3:5 ... Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. It really helps me when I start to question what God wants me to do with my life. I always end up on the better end of things when I follow His lead and stop trying to follow the path I think is correct.

I have never even been inside of an airplane!! Hopefully someday though. I always thought that if I had ever went into the military that I would have wanted to go into the airforce. I think that flying a fighter jet would have been super awesome!!! Lol That is more than likely never going to happen, but perhaps some day I may learn to fly. Who knows?!
