  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, I'm not really sure where to start or what to say. lol, I wasn't even sure what to put for a username, so I just chose Eretria90.

Well, maybe I should start to tell stuff about myself. Even though I put "Seeker" down for my "religion", I'm not really sure what kind of religion I am. I used to be Catholic, but decided that Christianity really wasn't for me. For a while, I've been doing research on religions such as Buddhism and Neo-Paganism. I have very odd personal beliefs because they really don't belong to any religion, and so therefore I just consider my beliefs as "my own business." Although I will say it is a mixture mostly of Neo-Paganism, Agnosticism, and Buddhism(the enlightenment part ). I strongly don't believe in a "hell", afterlife, or soul. I don't need these things, and I love the life I have now. To me, doing what you love most is the most important thing in the world. Nobody or nothing can ever change that.

Anyway, enough of that. I love to write, and I mostly write fantasy stories and sometimes poetry. I love science, mostly mineralogy, paleontology, and astronomy. I am a science fanatic in general, and strongly believe in evolution(but don't expect to find me in the evolution vs. creationism forum) and believe in an old earth. I am mostly a quiet person by nature, in fact very quiet. I also love to read, and fantasy and historical fiction are my favorite genres.

Not really sure why I was attracted to this website. I've been here before to read some of the forums, and I decided finally that I should just join.

No, I don't have the time or money to get any of my work published. I write short stories anyway; I've never written anything really long.
