  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hello, I am new to the forums here and found them through a search engine. I have recently started taking an anthro class and have become deeply interested despite my 9 years of christian schooling. I have developed many questions, in particular about evolution. I first thought to ask my teacher about these things, but upon asking her about how natural selection can't apply to humans now. I realised that she is ONLY there to teach about antrhopology and that theological inquiries would more than likely annoy her. So instead of forcing my inquisitiveness upon her I will ask only those who are interested enough to respond to my questions. Just wanted to introduce myself before I really started posting.

Hi there and welcome aboard.

You'll find a talkative audience here alright ... and yep, you'd most likely annoy your teacher. Such questions in school these days aren't allowed heaven forbid.

Hope to see that inquisitive mind hither and thither.

Hello and welcome to CF!
The science thing is a system you can learn but don't put any faith into it. If you consider the scope, magnitude and infinite detail of God's creation there can be no way it was some kind of accident!
Every day something comes to mind that when trying to play the natural selection scenario it could never work; like it is backwords compatible. Like Rattlesnake fangs have a poison sack above and a tiny hole down the middle like a syringe. How could that ever have evolved through natural selection?
On a larger scale consider this: scientists used to think there may be enough galaxies of stars to number a couple for every living person on earth! However, since the Hubble went into deep space to have a look-see, it seems there are estimates of more like 9 galaxies for every person! Wow.
