Probably true ....but it is the lull before the storm.
As we get closer to the general election ....the opposition will have to attack.... because the coffers are devoid of any positive achievement they have accomplished..

Allsides? Nah, that article, if you click to read the whole thing, is DailyWire, "DailyWire+ is the streaming home of The Daily Wire, Jordan Peterson, Movies, PragerU, and Bentkey...Conceived by Ben Shapiro and Jeremy Boreing,..."

In it:

[Trump speaking] So, I’m going to ask Bill a question that probably some of you are thinking of if you’re totally into that world, which I find to be very interesting. So, supposing when we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light, and I think you said that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it. And then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. And I think you said you’re going to test that too. Sounds interesting. And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful.

So yeah, he was "just asking" if we could inject disinfectant

We all heard what Trump said. What he said was just about the stupidest thing ever said by a President.

That article is from 2020

Case in point:

"So, I’m going to ask Bill a question that probably some of you are thinking of if you’re totally into that world, which I find to be very interesting. He should have left the medical stuff to the professionals, but since he HAS to be the center of attention he could not help to add this ridiculous comment to the history books.

He should have attended the meetings. These are the kinds of questions (what if we use a big light bulb?) that clueless managers ask the experts in briefings. The scientists don't expect their managers to all be experts, and Trump was certainly no exception. If he'd asked that question at a taskforce meeting, he could have gotten the reasoned answer (no, that won't work) and none of us would be the wiser.

In this case, the clueless manager's words sent some people to the hospital and some to the morgue.

Some Americans Are Tragically Still Drinking Bleach As A Coronavirus ‘Cure’

30. That’s how many calls about consuming household disinfectants reportedly went to the New York City poison control center in the hours after Trump made his comments. That’s more than twice the number of calls the poison control center handled on disinfectant consumption a year earlier.

TANGENT

A Florida family faces federal charges after prosecutors say they sold tens of thousands of bottles of “Miracle Mineral Solution,” a toxic bleach that was marketed as a cure for Covid-19.

We all heard what Trump said. What he said was just about the stupidest thing ever said by a President.
That president has said and done lots and lots of stupid things, on par with this particular event. Things that you would consider a 10 year old to be stupid if they had said it. Certainly not something you would expect coming from the mouth of an adult and especially not something you would expect coming from the mouth of the president of the USA.

There are no level of qualifications that a person needs to be the president of USA. Just having been born there is all.
From there it's just upto the people, to vote for whoever.

He should have left the medical stuff to the professionals, but since he HAS to be the center of attention he could not help to add this ridiculous comment to the history books.
A certain faction of USA has no respect for the educated and the qualified, they feel they can chime in with their own self proclaimed brilliant ideas. They think it makes them seem "intelligent". I'm sure D Trump truly believed he was appearing intelligent to his audience by making these suggestions.

There is a saying
A wise man knows a lot and says a little.
A fool knows a little and says a lot.
