Hard Pressed?
2 Corinthians 4
8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;
9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Have you ever felt like this -- hard pressed on every side? Surrounded -- trouble to the right, trouble to the left, trouble in front, and trouble behind?
Remember to look up, the way to the throne of the Lord is always open.
Psalm 121:1-2 I lift up my eyes to the hills where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
A sure way to approach the throne of grace is to praise the Lord -- no matter what your circumstance. Praise fixes your eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. Praise magnifies the Lord -- He is bigger than any trouble or circumstance!
Psalm 42:11 Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Jeremiah 32:17 Thank You Lord that nothing is too hard for You! When we feel surrounded on all sides, help each of us to remember to look up to You, to come boldly before Your throne with praise. Thank You that as we come boldly before You, we will recieve Your grace and mercy to help us in our time of need. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen.
