Being a great fan of the epic computer game series Half-Life I am getting more and more impatient waiting for the last installment of the trilogy following the events after the end of the first sequel: Half-Life 2: Episode III

They say we may even have to wait until next year, but I really hope that they get it done this year. Are there anyone else in here, who plays this series?

If there is, which enemy you face at any point in the Half-Life series scares you the most?
(For me it's definitelythe antlion coming up from the ground at the end of the chapter "Sand Traps".)

Which NPC in the game is the most annoying?
(For me it's Dr. Wallace Breen, what an idiot! However, they probably meant for him to be annoying )

Which NPC is the coolest?
(For me it's definitely Dog )

Trivia: The original Half-Life was a revolution of the computer game first person shooter genre. The most popular computer game in the world, Counterstrike, is based purely on Half-Life, as it's a modification of that game.

I like the Half-Life series. I've played through all the main games, and am looking forward to HL2: Episode III. I find the series much more enjoyable that the majority of first-person shooters. In fact, HL2 (including the episodes) is probably my favourite FPS bar none... although I was really addicted to Duke Nuken 3D back in the day. I never really got in to Counterstrike much, although I have enjoyed a few rounds of Team Fortress 2.

The Half-Life series is still hands down my fav. computer game to date and I too am looking forward to episode 3, I got abit impatient awhile back but I figured it would be best they take their time on it so I dont think much of it for now while Im playing other games to keep me busy, I will tell you one thing tho I hope the folks over at the black mesa mod site surprize us by releasing black mesa along side episode 3 that would awsome.

Well, those guys over at black mesa source have commit themselves to release the modification this year. Perhaps as a christmas present us gamers, and a curse on family members, with their loved once running through the steelcoridors with a crowbar in new and amazing graphics

i never played Half Life 1

but i have played the 3 Half Life 2 games on the orange box.
i didn't really like episode 1 though

The Orange Box/Half Life 2 is one of my favourite game for the Xbox 360

Question: Who is the weird guy in Half Life 2 who appears every so often?
he appears on the train in half life 2 and in episode 2...

was he in Half Life 1? if so what did he do

Hopefully ep3 should be good, I quite enjoyed parts 1 and 2. One of the rumours I heard is that they're probably going to have it be as long as the original HL2. I'm quite happy to wait for valve, everything they've made so far is solid gold.

If episode III comes out I will have to go read up up on the rest of the game.. I'm already forgetting the storyline. I'm not sure if I could get all the characters straight in my head. But I obviously remember Dog, Alyx, and her dad... I'm reading up on the plot right now on wiki. Wacky freeze time, teleporting guy, is a fun twist to the game.

after reading through all the plot again I think the 3rd episode might take place at a space station (because the rocket that was sent to the space station during ep. 2) Also I think they might find borealis, the ship that has aperture science equipment probably related to creating portals... the same ship that Eli, Alyx's dad, said he wants to cargo of the ship to be destroyed. They might also go to where that enemie's portal is forming.
