Really Great , he had a sextet , band playing saxophone , trumpet , drums , bass and Keyboards . They played a really chilled out intro and Van comes on with a Saxomathingy and ups the tempo and volume with one blast

He is such a strange performer , very little interaction with the crowd , he acted like he was in a recording studio , giving out orders , often with just a hand gesture

He still has a great voice , I think he is 60 this year?
He doesn't move very much , sometimes he just stands and stares like he is the Captain onboard ........... the Mutiny!

His songs tonight did include Gloria , Brown Eyed Girl , Cleaning windows and a very jazzed up version of ........... Into the Mystic.

A great evening out with a close friend followed by a curry at an Indian Restraunt .... now what was it that Van once said .... "Memories...........

Lovely of you to share re his concert. Since all of us couldn't be there, it's very cool to have a first-hand account from one who was there. So is he ever going to come to New Zealand, I wonder?

Van is something of an enigma , and save Dylan I think he is the most honest guy in rock , certainly his lyrics testify to the very opposite of Celebrity-ism and such like .......

here is a pic I just found , it is the nearest thing to tonights show , sorry it is a little out of focus........
