The apostle Paul had a painful past.
"Forgetting what lies behind..."
Joseph had a painful past.
"Ye meant it for evil but GOD meant it for good."
Job understood pain.
"This then is my consolation--my joy in unrelenting pain--that I have not denied the words of the Holy One."
Some of our past needs to be like trash we set on the curb. There are things in our lives that are no longer of value to us and need to be removed. Not stuck in a closet or shed but gotten rid of.
Other things in our past need to be buried. I think of seeds and loved ones.
There are people I know who influenced my life who have died.
They are buried but their influence lives on.
And unless a seed in planted it will bear no fruit. Sometimes the pains of the past are seeds for tomorrow.
Ye meant if for evil but GOD meant it for good. Sometimes GOD brings into or allows things into our lives that are painful. He has a reason.
Growth
The earth is ripped open
A seed is planted
There is darkness...
And silence
No one hears the silent screams
No one sees the struggle for light
There is darkness...
And silence
Ever growing but never seen
Every movement meets resistance
There is darkness...
And silence
Bathed in life-giving moisture
The weary continues to fight
There is darkness...
And silence
Until the day the surface is broken
And the warmth of the sun melts the coldness
There is light...
And the sounds of life
With many years come many changes
A fruit tree stands where once was a seed
Where once was a struggle to survive
Now is a source of nourishment and shelter
Where there is Light
there is an abundance of life
But there is no fruit
unless a seed is planted
