Yesterday in church, our minister stated that there are now 7 billion people on earth. In order to spread the gospel to everyone at the rate we are going now, it will take 7,000 yrs. He then told us if each of us tell one person the gospel, and then each of those people tell one person the gospel, etc. we could cut the time it takes for the gospel to go to everyone dramatically.

Does anyone feel this approach would work? I just cannot see this happening. I had to disagree with him on this.

I was never good at figures and percentages etc., however the idea might work if put into practice. In fact if more Christians just told one person the gospel each day, the averages would improve over our present system of leaving the work for some one else. We are guilty of leaving it to some one else.

I'm told that Jesus Himself only set 12 fishermen on fire with the gospel, but if it had not been for Paul the gospel might still be within the borders of Israel.
