No offense, but I'm really surprised a Catholic likes an anti-Catholic book series like Left Behind.

One of my favorite books is The Good Book by Peter Gomes.

I couldn't agree more. I'm reading Waking the Dead right now, and have ordered a couple more of Eldredge's books (Journey of Desire and The Sacred Romance). CS Lewis is also very, very good; I'd start with Mere Christianity, The Screwtape Letters or The Great Divorce. Happy reading!
