With all whats happening in this world now, how am I supposed to distinguish the truth of Gods Word and the misconceptions/ untruth. I hear a lot of ppl complaining about Joyce Meyer and what she preaches but I really admire how she teaches, I love it! But then when I hear ppl posting what they do, i felt confused in what to believe and what not to believe when I hear the Word of God being preached from any1. Can some1 clear this up for me or give me some help?

I too like Joyce Meyer. My husband and I watch her. She;s very honest and tells it like it is. Somewhere in the Bible it talks about talking negagtive of preachers. It says how we are not judge them. I've learned if I don't like someone who is talking I turn it off and say nothing negative about them. I've also learned that people need all different kinds of preaching. Some like the one that yell, others like quiet, and then like me like the ones in between.
Always check what they say against the Bible and you'll see the truth.

Totaly..... First and foremost don't believe what anyone tells you! What people say should be suggestions and help. Unless they are reading directly from the bible they could be wrong. Just take what ever anyone says and put it up against your personal convictions and the bible. Eventualy once you get to know someone and realise you can trust them, say a pastor or elder, you can relax it a little, but getting your faith from other people I feel isn't what God wants us to do. I think he wants us to live our lives according to what he says alone.

The apostole John tells us to take what preachers preach and compare it to God's Word. Is what they preach does not line up with God's word, then they are false.

Personally I like Joyce, I listen to her everymorning on the radio, and I own some of her tapes. She has helped me alot.
