I'm not so sure there's a difference between a God-centered engagement and marriage -- except to say that you should wait until you're married for sex.

Now, about a God-centered relationship:
  • Keep God in all aspects of your relationship. As you bless a meal, also ask for His blessing before you do anything.
  • Be as active in your church as you are in your home. Volunteer to do chores together around the building. Volunteer for the nursery together.
  • Pray together. In addition to your individual prayers, pray together every day.
  • Spend time in a mutual bible study or devotional.
I can't think of any more.

To put it simply a "God-centered" marriage is operated by HIS rules. All the day-to-day activities, problems and behaviors of the partners are conducted with that in mind.
That's good - and simple.

Good post!

I would like to add, I think it's also always work in progress.

It seems like if you get comfortable in your relationship between your spouse and God, things start to slip. Keep that relationship continually growing.

Absolutely! And, it only gets better as you get older and grow in Him and in your relationship.

Right! And me saying "work in progress" those are hardly the right words. It's not work at all, it's quite an amazing experience.
