You know, sometimes we just don't see the blessings we are given by God until certain events manifest and take place. Case in point. Recently I helped an Adventist lady who was at one time a member of our local church clean up and pack up to move from her house in Apple Valley. The home was sold and escrow was closing soon.
Her husband was a prominent Adventist doctor who had passed away 3 years earlier and in his later years was confined to home and unable to get to church - so he accumulated lots of books and cassette tapes from many different Adventist pastors so he could study and read at home. I visited her with my pastor shortly after his death.
I was given a ton (OK, not literally) of these books. I was given all the Testimonies from EGW. Many books on prophecy, Adventist doctrine, history, etc., four cases of cassette tapes. Many of the cassettes I have given to others, new folks in our church. Lots of the paperbacks I have distributed to the prisoners I visit on Friday and Saturday. Just a day or two ago I finished reading Clifford Goldstein's book, "One nation under God" which was very interesting.
So I started on a few new books the "God Cares" series from C. Mervyn Maxwell which involves understanding Daniel and Revelation and how both of these prophetic books actually deal with the care and tenderness God reveals of Himself through prophecy. I'm extremely impressed by the history and Bibilcal insight.
Anyway, I just thought if you didn't have these books it might be something you'd like to add to your library.
BTW the Adventist Defense League blogspot has a great article for you to read:
