In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Conservative media outlets and journalists are fighting a network of organizations working to kill their advertising revenue by slapping them with misinformation labels.

House investigators have questioned Biden administration officials about funding the efforts and subpoenaed two of the organizations to determine whether their practices are violating antitrust laws.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, Ohio Republican, subpoenaed top officials from GARM and the World Federation of Advertisers, or WFA, seeking documents related to coordinated efforts to “demonetize and censor disfavored speech online.”

Choosing freely whom you do business with is free enterprise. Having Jim Jordan force you to do business with people you don't want to is not free enterprise.

Look, many conservative cases in the courts these days are about businesses wanting the freedom to not do business with people, even if they are members of legally protected classes for discrimination. Political views are not a protected class, so there is no reason why companies can't favor one media outlet over another, particularly in the case of advertising, where clients are looking to reach a particular audience for their products. Target and Bud Light don't want to waste their money advertising on OAN at the moment.

The efforts appear to be aimed at avoiding the promotion of harmful content: violence and misinformation. If that's synonymous with conservatism, then so much the worse for conservatism.

How does that explain the perfect scores for Liberal media sites that have published egregious misinformation such as the Steel Dossier, or the Federalist receiving a score of 12.5 for publishing well documented questions regarding the effectiveness of mask mandates.

My mistake in trusting the Washington Times to accurately reflect the situation. It appears the Washington Times makes the explicit connection to conservative media. ETA: although it does preface one such claim with "Jordan said"

This is exactly what the HJC is addressing; so this is accurate reporting, while the corporate controlled Liberal media ignores this egregious violation of human rights.
