Why should that matter? These people support everything he does and says. And, honestly, this is one of the few times he's shown compassion for anyone. I think he knows good and well what's going on there. Why is it after his envoy visits, he decides maybe the US should take over distribution? He knows people are starving and why.

There are accusations that criminal gangs steal the food. Thats Hamas. The UN refuses to allow the IDF to escort them and refuses to go in with mass truck loads. The UN is the one refusing. Not Israel.

The Gazans themselves have never really been the problem. Hamas on the other hand has been the problem since their inception in 1987. The last big row in 2008-2014 Hamas used the Gazans as shields to maximize IDF collateral damage and increase propaganda. You can find a paper on this below. Is a pdf so can’t cut and paste.
