  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

2 Timothy 2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

The Bible often compares the Christian to a soldier. They have much of the same duties, to protect, to gaurd the truth, to fight against evil, to enhance freedom. These are all duties of a soldier. Like soldiers we have armor; a shield, a sword, a breastplate and so on and so forth. We are equipped and trained for battle, but why are so many of us on the sidelines? Like some wars, this is not a one that's fought on some distant battlefield, this is a war that's all around us. It's in our homes, our schools, and sometimes, even in the church. We are armed with the most effective weapon, and the most powerful ally. Lets be honest, we aren't exactly on the frontlines of the war, we should be where the battles are the toughest!

Recently, my church went out door to door witnessing. It was amazing! the amount of homes we visited was staggering. In 3 days time, we reached 7300 homes, shared the Gospel over 200 times, and 74 people came to Christ, many of them on their doorsteps. We were getting results not because of what we did on our own, but because we trusted God and obeyed His simple command "GO!" -- I mean, this thread would take days to write if I started telling you the hand of God. A fisherman when he wants to make a catch, doesn't fish from the dock. What does he do? He gets in a boat and goes to where the fish are! I don't know about you, but I'm tired of being on the sidelines of the war. Like a POW soldier returning home from war, we are changed when we really get involved in the battle.

YES! AMEN!

i think we leave witnessing out in the cold sometimes, we become so concerned with keeping ourselves on the right path, but arent very concerned with winning the lost.

i remember the bible says to put on the whole armor of God, and one of the pieces is the girding of our loins or the protection of our reproductive areas.

becuase if the devil cant kill us, then hell try to kill our purpose, keep us from making a real diffrence in OTHER peoples lives.
if he cant kill you, hell try to make you stagnant.

man, this has challenged me.
