…people make the same mistakes and like routine?

Lol, I’m just talking nonsense now.
No, that’s exactly correct.
We’re made up of DNA which compels us to out-compete other life-forms and we (humans) fight with one another all of the time.
Rabies replicates in mammals by hijacking the brain to attack other mammals once the virus is ready to be transferred.
History is nothing more that us forgetting that we’re supposed to be better than “just what’s in our DNA”, if I am understanding Christianity with any degree of accuracy.

Why do you seek others’ opinions if you only end up dismissing them and trying to make people feel inadequate for not agreeing with you? It’s clear that your views are liberal, but conservative Christian perspectives do exist, and you seem surprised that people hold them.

I used to try dismissing opinions without finding out what they were. But it never seemed to work. So now I ask first. I find that it's a much better system. I recommend it.

I do , that’s why I used to be an atheist but now a Christian. What I don’t do though is tell people their views are idiotic and that they shouldn’t express them.

I only tell people with idiotic views that their views are idiotic. But I try to be as polite as I can. I find honesty to be the best policy in circumstances like that.

And when the justices were confirmed, the right to access abortions was established legal precedent and they wouldn't infringe on that, or so they said.

You honestly can't blame Republicans for that...

It was established legal precedent. I was as surprised as you.

Unlike you I'm not disappointed as we federalize far too much and I believe this provides an opportunity for people to self govern their own areas. It's positive because we are united in the basics but we aren't a homogeneous people in the particularities, which is why we have states to begin with.

There's a couple things I think we can all agree to protect on the federal level - such as abortion in life of the mother cases before fetal viability or to save the mother (a viable fetus may be lost to save the mother in cases where it would be unavoidable).

But in general I think letting each state vote on the issue for themselves is fine. Some things we get to have differences on. And clearly, abortion is an area we will likely never agree, and strongly enough so that this actually is a good solution.

They might seem unreasonable or misguided to you and to some others, but not everyone sees them that way. Your approach can come across as dismissive, as if you’re implying that those who disagree are incorrect and in the minority, suggesting that your perspective is the widely accepted one.

When I was an atheist, I perceived beliefs in deities as lacking logical basis, but I refrained from labelling others’ views as unintelligent or implying that my own perspective was universally accepted. Obviously, I think differently now.

I'm in the minority here. Not that it matters when it comes to opinions. And I rarely imply that someone is incorrect. I try to be a bit more straightforward. But hey, you've only been here for a short while. You'll grow to love me I'm sure. My Anglican upbringing will come to the fore, I'm sure.

Haha I’m sure I will. Despite our differences in views, I respect your commitment to expressing your views with passion and clarity. As a newish Christian, it’s quite interesting to hear the various perspectives of other Christians too.

Are you American? I’m from UK.

Even though we disagree with each other on some things, perhaps we can both agree that Wales is the best then?
