Free Website Design Software

Does anyone know where I can download a decent website design program, that you don't need to know HTML or other code language to use, for free? I'm in a fix right now, and need it ASAP. Thanks, everybody.

If you need it ASAP for personal use, get the DEMO version of Macromedia Dreamweaver, good for 30 Days.

This way you can get out of a quick bind while you look for a better solution.

I'd suggest that you do actually learn HTML - It's not that hard. Theres some good teaching out there like w3 schools etc.

If you need any help in HTML you can pm me.... and a good HTML editor is crimon editor (use google )

For basic HTML editing, Mozilla Composer and OpenOffice HTML Editor are good. For moderately complex editing, try ASP.NET Web Matrix.

I strongly advise learning HTML for the future - anyone who works with the web will find this skill to be very valuable, and it's not that hard.

I use

Trellian.com

It's free and you dont need to know HTML.

When you go to their homepage...press products...then press Trellian Webpage. I dont know HTML and I use it for all my websites.

dreamweaver is a big big too big download
for a 56k modem.

a word processor can usually "save as html"
it will do all the simple stuff
the bold- italic- paragraph- etc.
for $20-30 get a book at the store on html...
or just study those sites.
also study other's code by choosing "view sourcce code"
from your menu bar.
Try doing this...
google this (free templates)
google this (free websites)

and keep plug'n away

My mom wants the software to create a website for animal rescue, and she expects me to download an application illegally via a File Sharing Service. Due to personal conviction, I cannot do that, and want to find a free alturnative if possible, rather than to come right out and say that I can't give her anything at all. A bit wierd for me to explain, but that's where I stand.

I use ACE HTML and ACE FTP and I love them! I have since gotten both and adobe and Front Page programs; but still use my little freebies; they are simple to use....

Another good FTP program is Filezilla. It's really easy to use and feature-rich, and it's totally free!

Oh one of those bible thumping types eh. Well I understand, just go get an edumacation and get hired by a web design firm and let them hook ya up. Or learn html, and then use notepad and code it yourself.
