  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I give You thanks Lord,
for this new day in You.
A new day of newfound joy,
a new day which is started all fresh again.

The birds are singing in my mind,
and a new melody is given to my heart.
Feeling and knowing,
that I am free in You!

I wished,
more would experience this.
How it is,
to be truly free in You.

As so many are bound,
by the sins of their pasts and lives.
They are blinded by their own ways,
and cannot see from right or wrong.

Yet I want to rejoice in You,
because You have set me free.
I am no longer bound,
to the sins from my past.

As I have been truly set free,
by the blood You shed for me.
Through the free sacrifice given,
by You my Lord Jesus Christ,
on the cross for me,
as well as for all of mankind.

All I know in this life ultimately is faith in Jesus Christ. I hate to think of life without belief in He and His salvation and forgiveness of sins, because without Him then it would only be an utter end beyond the horizon with no hope.

That's so true! A life without Jesus Christ and His Salvation, would be no life at all for me as well! There would be no point in living at all, what hope would one have if one would be destined towards hell? There is only real life found when living in and for Jesus Christ! Without Him, life would just be a void in darkness.

Do you write poems as well? I feel as you may have something poetic within you too! What you wrote above were very clear yet beautifully described in words.

Oh, thank you, but, in terms of actual poetry concerning Jesus Christ I am afraid I have not written any. ^-^

But again, all I know is, while I cannot prove 100% that He is real (after all, if you COULD definitely, scientifically prove it, would it be called faith? ) , I just know that I cannot think of life as having any hope of a life beyond this one on Earth or forgiveness for every evil thing I have said or done without Him.

Have you written any poems in general? And writing poems about your faith in Jesus Christ is just a short step away, just to start expressing this in words.

Many think of faith as blind, you beleive without fully knowing nor seeing. We can beleive without seeing what's in front of us as well as around us, as we can't see everything which is there in the spiritual realm. Yet we can also beleive knowing that God's existence is real, as well as His Son Jesus Christ! And also knowing the spiritual realm is real, as well as the enemy which is satan and the demons with him.

Knowing that He is real, isn't to believe blindly about it. You just know it is real, and that it is the Truth! The disciples knew that Jesus Christ was God's Son, and this also before He died on the cross as well as rose up after the third day from the grave. One example given is what you read in Matthew 14:22-33

Faith is also to fully be trusting in God. Knowing He will protect you and take care of you. Trusting in Him no matter what happens around you, yet knowing everything will work out for good for those who loves God! (Romans 8:28)

Mostly just poems about the girl I was in love with several years ago during college. ^-^
