“Of every [other] tree of the garden you may freely eat;..." Genesis 2:16 NKJV
Because all of the other fruits are to be eaten literally (or you would have to expand the metaphor)...How so?

It is right there in Genesis 1:3-5. You can't miss it....or even night and day existing before the celestial bodies were created...

Hmm.. hard to conclude what's possible seeing as we weren't there. Kinda God's point to Job. For all we know there were literal/spiritual fruits and walking voices, and upright talking serpents running around all over the place.
