These are not my words but taken from an offical website of the blue army this is devotion serving Mary, this is what it means to serve her. This is only one of the ways in which you can serve her.

About the Blue Army

In 1917, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal.

She came to warn the world to stop offending God. She showed the children a vision of hell where the souls of poor sinners go and warned of severe punishments from God if her message was ignored. She promised the great blessing of world peace and the triumph of her Immaculate Heart if her requests were fulfilled. All of this was confirmed by a spectacular Miracle of the Sun witnessed by over 70,000 people on October 13, 1917.

As late as 1947 the message of Our Lady at Fatima was hardly known in the United States. In his parish church in Plainfield, New Jersey, Father Harold Colgan started the Blue Army that same year to spread Our Lady's message of warning and promise. The Blue Army spread quickly and soon became an international apostolate, the World Apostolate of Fatima, with millions of members and national centers in many countries around the world.

In the United States, the Blue Army developed a beautiful National Center and Shrine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Washington, New Jersey. It also built a beautiful pilgrim center, Domus Pacis (House of Peace) in Fatima, to welcome English-speaking pilgrims. It has an excellent publication, SOUL Magazine, and active prayer cells and Diocesan Divisions throughout the country to promote Our Lady's message.

Now, more than fifty years after its founding, The Blue Army looks out on a world that has yet to respond adequately to our Lady's requests. At Fatima Our Blessed Lady foretold that God would punish the world for its offenses against Him by wars, hunger, the spread of Communism, persecution of the Church, even the annihilation of various nations. Through the praying of the Holy Rosary and the prayers of many faithful souls, Communism was overthrown in Russia following the consecration of the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by Pope John Paul II in 1984. But we must acknowledge that the world has not stopped offending God; if anything, the world is worse by far than it was when Our Lady came in 1917. War, hunger, terrorism, outrageous crimes, and the annual slaughter of millions of innocent babies in their mother's wombs all over the world is the consequence.

Our Lady gave the means to change the world, to turn the hearts of men and women back to God, to end the wars and strife, to end the horror of abortion. We must renew our commitment to fulfilling the requests Our Lady made at Fatima. We must spread her message throughout the world and assist men and women of good will to respond to her requests. You can support us through your prayers and sacrifices for the success of our work. You can become a member of the Blue Army .

Please join the Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima. Our Lady needs your help.

This is on the leigion of Mary taken from EWTN's web site

LEGION OF MARY
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you want to learn more about the Catholic faith?
Do you want to enrich your prayer life?
Do you want to develop close Catholic friendships?
Do you want to grow closer to Jesus and His Mother?
Then come as a guest to a Legion of Mary meeting! There's no obligation!
What is it?

The Legion of Mary is the largest apostolic organization of lay people in the Catholic Church, with well over 3 million active members in almost every country of the world. It has been active in the United States since 1931, has been approved by the last 6 Popes, and was endorsed by the Second Vatican Council. The main purpose of the Legion of Mary is to give glory to God through the sanctification of its members.

What does it do?

Members become instruments of the Holy Spirit through a balanced program of prayer and service. Works include door-to-door evangelization, parishioner visitation, prison ministry, visitation of the sick or aged, crowd contact, religious education, visiting the newly baptized, Pilgrim Virgin Statue rotations, and meeting the other spiritual needs of the parish community. Legionaries are under the guidance of a spiritual director named by the pastor. The Legion is, in essence, an extension of the heart and hands of the pastor.

How does it work?

Members meet once a week for prayer, planning and discussion in a family setting. Then they do two hours of definite work each week in pairs and under the guidance of their spiritual director.

Who can belong?

The Legion of Mary is open to all Catholics who:

Faithfully practice their religion;
Are animated by the desire to participate in the Church's apostolate through membership in the Legion;
Are prepared to fulfill each and every duty which active membership in the Legion involves.

How do I start?

The first step is to be a guest at a meeting of the Legion of Mary. Guests are always welcome and can go on one of the work assignments with an experienced member if they choose. If there is no Legion of Mary in your parish, you can participate in a group in another parish until you can start one of your own with the assistance of other Legionaries and in cooperation with the pastor.

How can I get more info?

For more information, ask any member of the Legion of Mary or contact the parish office to obtain the name and telephone number of a point of contact for the nearest Legion of Mary Praesidium. You can also send Internet e-mail to LOM@transporter.com or write to: Legion of Mary P.O. Box 220412 Chantilly, VA 22022.

Oh let's STOP already!

Devoted, the one thing that you need to emphasize is that these devotions to Mary are just that: DEVOTIONS. Devotions are personal, private, and OPTIONAL.

I don't want to see another thread on this! I will remove them from the board.

Peace,

You got a problem with them, Bro...they got an address posted on there, take it up with them, just don't say that I am alone in saying that Catholic serve Mary. This is a religious order.

I didnt, I said, at the time, that no Catholic on here was agreeing with you that we serve Mary. Big difference.

If you want to go outside of this forum, I can find pro-choice Catholic groups. What is the point?

You need to chill out, because I am not someone you want to fight with, and I dont even have any hard feelings towards you.

I didn't say I didn't want your opinion, I would be happy to help you work ths out, I know that this must be scarry for you to realize this, but I can not take it when you post things that insinuate that I am making this up, I am not. If I could help you I would love to. You need to take some time to let all this absorb.
