God loved the world.
Shouldn't we?
Is there a Biblical command you can cite that says we ought to love the world? We are called to love our neighbor, certainly. Can we say that the group neighbor includes the entire population of the world?

If God loved the world, then surely the world must be worthy of our love, too.

God loved the world.
Jesus saved it.
We insult it.

Should we?

Theological statements needs theological support. You're probably right, you just need to demonstrate it with Scripture. I gave you a hint when I referenced a command to love our neighbors as ourselves. Would neighbor include everyone? Who is our neighbor?

And how exactly do we insult the world? What does that even mean?

The verse says that God loved the "world."

The word "world" is commonly defined as "the earth, its people, and its natural features."
Are you sure that's the correct usage? John uses it in at least eight different ways.

Jesus saved the world? Then why do only those who are believing get eternal life?

We insult the world often...
I hear people talk about how wicked and evil it is...
They talk as if God hates the world.

But we know God loved the world...

If God loved the world, shouldn't we?
Shouldn't we focus on its beauty and goodness?
