  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I dance Flamenco, the original dance of the gypsies from Spain. I've taken it for a little over a year and right now, I am learning a dance that requires a use of a fan. I'm very excited about! Next year, I'll be learning how to use castinets...that'll be fun. So what do other christians dance??? hip hop? ballet? folkloric? etc....

Before I gave my life to the Lord I studied Flamenco for 12 years. I was raised in a Spanish Dance Company. Flamenco is beautiful. Now I dance for the Lord. I still take classes. I take many different dance classes and I use what I learn to choreograph and give the Lord my praise. Keep taking classes and while you are learning communicate with God and praise him while your moving. Excercise your wrists so you can work smoothly with the fans. The castanets are challenging but will give you strength through out your whole arm. Be blessed and in all the dances you learn ....bring it to God and glorify him.

Much love!

The flamneco not originally from the Gypsies, originated by various theories of the songs Arabs, we must remember that for 800 years ede Spain was largely Muslim. There are other theories that come from the black slaves in the spanish colonies were coming of Cuba or Santo Domingo. What is certain is that among the gypsies, flamenco is very popular, but not the origin.
