I watched a Let's Play of it and it looked fun. I hadn't heard of the game before but it's fun to watch people play it and freak out.

And I could listen to the Phone Guy talk all day. He's like a classic radio character, unseen, but he nevertheless captures the imagination and is greatly entertaining, at least in my opinion.

The man who made it was indeed a Christian, though sometimes I wonder if he strayed off of the path. I'm sure he is fine though.

Though I'm not looking forward to any movies about the games.

Well his primary or maybe only talent was making video games, and when his Evangelical games weren't doing so well, he had to start thinking about how to provide for his family. I am happy for him and his success and look forward to the movie.

Scott Cawthon, the guy who makes these actually works at a place that makes children's bible story animations, and makes games in his spare time. Not sure why he made fnaf.

Scooter's made several Christian games, including a gameatization of Bunyan's "the Pilgrim's Progess".

I personally think that when his Christian games didn't do so well Scott had to start thinking about how to progress, and rather than confine himself to a particular genre or type of games he decided to experiment with different styles that were nevertheless without any actual graphic violence of any kind. FNAF was a huge success and I'm happy for Scott.

actually, his last real Christian game called mr.beaver and son's (or I think that's it) got a reply that said that the animals looked like animatronic dolls. when scott got this reply, he wanted to quit making video games... but thought that he could make something more scary then that. read the interview he had with IGN:
